The Mistral 1000 centrifuge represents an economical and simpler to use alternative for the busy laboratory with a limited budget. The control panel has been simplified to encompass situations where non-technical staff may be required to use the centrifuge. All that is needed is to enter parameters of speed and time - nothing could be simpler.
The mainstay of the Mistral 1000 is the 4 x 100ml rotor with the appropriate 100ml trunnions and metal buckets. The 100ml metal buckets can be provided with optional sealing cap assemblies when centrifuging potentially hazardous samples. After use, the sealed buckets can be removed and opened in an appropriate safety cabinet thus eliminating risk to the operator.
A wide range of adaptors is available as detailed in the table below suiting most laboratory applications. All accessories for the Mistral 1000 can be autoclaved. |
For those who require higher ‘g' forces there is a choice of three high performance angle rotors including the 4 x 50ml with sealed aluminium buckets.
Although economical the Mistral 1000 still incorporates features found normally on more expensive models, including digital microprocessor control allowing run reproducibility and automatic rotor identification preventing operation beyond any rotor's safety limit.
Safety features include a steel guard ring, burst proof lid and lid interlock preventing lid opening whilst the rotor is rotating. An imbalance detector aborts a run if activated, thereby ensuring the safety of the centrifuge and user.
